What is Jeuveau?
Jeuveau™ (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs) injection–is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults for a period of time (temporary).
Jeuveau VS Botox®: How is Jeuveau different from Botox?
Botox has been in the market since the 90's and at SK Plastic Surgery, we have been successfully treating patients with Botox for many years. Jeuveau is the first new Botox alternative in a decade. As the fourth neurotoxin to hit the market, Jeuveau is made using a state-of-the-art manufacturing process called Hi-Pure™ technology. Jeuveau is the first product from Evolus, and part of its mission to bring a fresh experience and perspective to the aesthetics industry.
What can you expect during a Jeuveau procedure?
The injection site will be cleansed and will not require anesthesia prior to injection. A very thin needle is used to inject small amounts of botulinum toxin into specific muscles. By carefully choosing specific muscles, Dr. Kim will weaken only the wrinkle-producing muscles, preserving your natural facial expressions.
Botulinum toxin treatment injections usually take less than 15 minutes.
How does Jeuveau work?
Jeuveau works like other neuromodulator injectables such as Botox, Jeuveau stops muscle movements to erase frown lines and prevent wrinkles. You may notice results within a few days after the procedure, but it can take up to a week to see the full effect.
How long does Jeuveau last?
Jeuveau lasts several months. Most patients will see results last anywhere from 4-6 months. Individual results and longevity may vary.
